Jon Jones has been repeatedly teasing a fight with Francis Ngannou. He says he has nothing left to prove at Light Heavyweight and is looking for a move upwards. ‘The Predator’ has been open to the fight with both fighters, saying it will have to be for the money bags. Their social media call outs and mockery has been at a peak, with the latest chapter coming on Tuesday.

The top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter wrote, “First you can save the rest of your tongue pictures for your other homies and yes I’m right here, just waking up from watching that Derek Lewis fight again. You ain’t scaring nobody, I saw your heart. You’re a big old mouse, I’ll expose you.”

This was in response to ‘The Predator’ mocking ‘Bones’ and asking him “Hello Jonny are you still there?”

The UFC Light Heavyweight champion seems to have an advantage in social media banter. He can cite ‘The Predator’s two UFC losses whilst the 2nd ranked Heavyweight cannot return the favor. This is because Jones’ only loss came via disqualification. Here, he brought up Ngannou’s last UFC loss, which came at UFC 226 against Derrick Lewis.

‘The Predator’ has been on an impressive run post that Unanimous Decision loss. He has equaled his streak of first-round finishes that earned him a title shot against Stipe Miocic at UFC 220. He has spent a cumulative 2:42 in the Octagon en route to these 4 knockouts.
What’s telling here is ‘The Predator’ is yet to win if his opponents manage to sidestep or absorb his vicious haymakers.
Last week ‘Bones’ channeled his mockery on this very point. He wrote, “Bro with all that power comes a limited amount of time it’s effective. If you can’t get me out with in the first or second good luck keeping up with my pace/fight IQ.”
