Henry Cejudo issued a stern warning to Jon Jones and Khabib Nurmagomedov – the two fighters ahead of him in the pound-pound rankings. The fighter (15-2) has taken the UFC by storm, becoming one of the few champions to hold titles in two weight divisions.

Speaking about the pound – pound rankings, Henry Cejudo said

‘’There are two men ahead of me on the pound for pound rankings and I’m here to tell you- virus or no virus, that crown will be mine’’

Whether Cejudo is the pound-pound king is a debatable topic, considering that the two fighters ahead of him have near-perfect records. Khabib has a blemish-free score of (28-0). On the other hand, Jones (26-1-1) has only one blip in his record, the result of controversial disqualification. However, if Cejudo’s recent performances are anything to go by, he might pose a serious threat to both fighters.

Irrespective of Cejudo’s cringe-worthy behavior, ‘The Messenger’ can certainly put a beat down. He is one of the most dominant fighters in recent years. His win against Demetrious Johnson propelled him into stardom, and he hasn’t looked back since.

If things go to plan, Khabib will be the first of the trio to jump into the octagon. He will face Tony Ferguson in the near future, though the UFC has confirmed neither dates nor locations. Jones came off a controversial victory over Dominic Reyes , cementing his place at the top spot of the pound-pound rankings.

Henry Cejudo will look to keep his belt against a former pound-pound great Jose Aldo. Cejudo was criticized for his choice of opponent, but there’s no way Aldo can be overlooked. Aldo remained undefeated for a decade, only to be “notoriously” stopped by Conor McGregor back in 2015.

Cejudo  has the potential to be the No.1 pound for pound fighter. Whether he achieves the target is yet to be seen.
