Yoel Romero Reacts to Dance-Off With Israel Adesanya

We are just days away from witnessing two of the most elite fighters of the Middleweight division lock horns. Israel Adesanya will defend his Middleweight Championship against Yoel Romero at UFC 248 on 7 March 2020.

The showdown will truly be epic, as the unbeaten Adesanya will face one of the most feared fighters of the division, Yoel Romero. Thus, everything revolving around the fight is epic, even the pose off!

While Adesanya is known for his groovy moves, Yoel Romero decided to bring out his own skills to match Adesanya’s. He employed his own dancing skills, giving Adedanya a run for his money.

In the latest edition of the Ariel Helwani show, Yoel Romero addressed his dance-off with Israel.

According to Yoel, “Izzy” Adesanya was taken by surprise when he started dancing. Romero seemed pretty pleased with his performance, saying that he felt pretty good about himself after the dace-off.

On being asked who won, Yoel took the diplomatic route. He said that he doesn’t know who won or lost but gave his best. This is one very unique characteristic of the pair of Yoel and Israel. They both have not gone down the usual derogatory road towards each other prior to the fight.

Even though the regular trash-talk is obviously present, both fighters hold mutual respect for each other. Each recognizes the sparkling career that the other has to his name, and are more focused on training better than the other than talking.

Adesanya, the undisputed Champion of the Middleweight Division, will be defending his title for the first time. That his first title defense is against the beast of a man Yoel Romero is truly iconic. Israel has fought hard to reach the stage he stands at today. Yet, almost everyone who fights with Romero does not exit the octagon a sound man.
