Curtis Blaydes overpowered Alexander Volkov in the main event of UFC on ESPN. The bout led many to label it as boring due to ‘Razor’s sheer mat prowess. Among those who panned the clash was UFC President Dana White. It didn’t help that the main event had to be the follow-up act to an intense back and forth Featherweight clash. Here he says he predicted the win but admitted that it wasn’t his best. “I like to win… the best part of this win is that I predicted this and I did it, 25 minutes. Didn’t look the best but I don’t care.”

As Blaydes wants a UFC title shot, he will have to focus on longer fights or strengthening his mat game even further. Going the full 25 will surely lead ‘Razor’ to understand that he needs to focus on his conditioning for a longer fight.
