Liverpool created many chances and had a strong performance, yet the Madrid goalkeeper, Courtois, wasn’t letting anything past him. Courtois stopped all the chances created by the team in the red. His performance made sure Los Blancos lifted their 14th European title.

For Liverpool, this defeat would hurt; An exceptional season and an amazing performance in the finals, but with no goals. Besides, a late missed chance by Naby Keita. All these make their experience narrow to what was a wonderful campaign.
