At the UFC Fight Night 147 in March 2016, the main event featured a fight between Jorge Masvidal and Darren Till along with a co-main event featuring a fight between Leon Edwards and Gunnar Nelson. But the O2 Arena in London witnessed a fight after all the fights had come to an end.

A brawl broke out in the post-fight interview which involved the winners of the main events. Masvidal had won the fight against Darren Till knocking him out at 03:05 in the second round while Edwards had gone past Gunnar Nelson with a split decision win.

When both the winners were in their respective post-game talks, Masvidal suddenly walked towards Edwards and started punching him. It immediately led to a brawl inside the arena.

Currently, Edwards is preparing for a fight against Tyron Woodley. They are set to fight at UFC Fight Night 171 in March in London. Edwards, in recent years, has shown some animosity towards Masvidal.

The duo would be ready for a fight when the opportunity arises and that is what Masvidal confirmed recently. Talking to Submission Radio, Masvidal said that he would certainly fight Edwards if he wins over Woodley.

“If Leon wins the fight, it’s going to happen,” Masvidal said. “Me and him are going to definitely fight, because now he’s a very strong candidate for the fight.”

However, Masvidal’s intentions weren’t the same towards Woodley were he to win against Edwards.

“In the case of Woodley, if I had to pick a guy I wouldn’t fight, it would be him,” Masvidal said. “That’s not a guy that I want to fight. But if we’re going fight, if we’re both in position for the belt, yeah, we’ll do it, and there’d be no heat about it. Afterwards, we’d go hang out, eat food, talk (expletive). Me and Woodley have a really good relationship and we see things really similar. It’s just business. It’s nothing personal.”
