Miles Johns made his return to the UFC as he opened the UFC Fight Night: Anderson Silva vs Uriah Hall preliminary card with a scintillating KO win over rising contender Kevin Natividad. Coming off a stoppage loss over Mario Bautista in his last appearance, ‘Chapo’ looked absolutely incredible against Natividad.
The fight was exciting to say nonetheless. ‘Quicksand’ came in flashy, trying to execute a flying knee early in the first round. However, Johns was calmer and calculated his shots well. Additionally, he mixed his game well and shifted levels throughout the entire fight.

Meanwhile, Natividad showed great takedown defense. While ‘Chapo’ was able to take Natividad down on multiple occasions, he could hardly land any damage on the bantamweight fighter.
The first round ended seemingly more in favor of Johns, who was a little more active than his opponent. ‘Quicksand’ looked more active in the second round, landing several significant strikes. However, after everything was said and done, it was Johns who triumphed over a very dangerous Kevin Natividad.

Johns started the third round strong and landed a spinning wheel kick. However, Natividad controlled the pace of the fight and landed several big right hands in the third round. Regardless, it was Johns who was slicker with his jabs and slowed down ‘Quicksand’ with his precise striking. Additionally, Natividad had no answer for Johns’s counter-punches.
Johns was able to capitalize on an advancing Natividad who was just looking to finish the fight in his favor. Needless to say, he paid a heavy price for it and succumbed to a brutal right uppercut which dropped him on the canvas.
