The co-main event for UFC Fight Night: Santos vs Teixeira will witness a clash between Andrei Arlovski and Tanner Boser. The aforementioned heavyweights make up the classic veteran former champion vs the rising divisional up and comer. The entire fight card in itself is filled with such narratives, making it a compelling watch for matchmaking enthusiasts.

The divisional landscape is murky, to say the least, with no clear timeline for the champion’s return. Furthermore, the weight class is very top-heavy in terms of its contenders. Casual fans aren’t familiar with the talent present outside of the top five. However, Andrei Arlovski certainly can’t take a shot like he used to and will have to be wary of Boser’s power. What’s more, ‘The Pitbull’ will have to focus on keeping the fight at mid-range where he has shown the most promise. However, there’s no denying that this could play well in Boser’s game plan.

‘The Bulldozer’ has an opportunity to scalp off a big name onto his resume, albeit in the form of an aging legend. Thus far, he has looked impressive over largely mid-tier fighters and will need to huge name to bolster his brand. The Alberta, Canada native has kept a good strength of schedule and he made a clear impact on Yas Fight Island.

The UFC certainly believes in his ability to make waves in the division, considering his co-main event feature slot.

‘The Bulldozer’ has a strong overhand right that he uses to judge distance with before clocking in his opponents’ skull. The power differential could be the deciding factor in his bout considering both men have largely plotting movement.
