The main card for UFC Fight Night: Felder vs Dos Anjos sees a new addition in the form of a catchweight bout. Brendan Allen and Sean Strickland will tango in the middle of the Octagon after being bumped up from the preliminary card. The replacement bout is a great addition to the main card that plays host to several top-tier exciting match-ups. UFC Catchweight: Brendan Allen vs Sean Strickland

Allen is on an eight-fight win streak and has defeated solid middleweights in his UFC run thus far. His last fight was in June 2020, where he earned a unanimous decision win over Kyle Daukaus on the scorecards. Moreover, he’s lived up to the hype that he garnered through his Dana White’s Contender Series Appearance.

‘All In’ Allen lives up to his moniker and commits to the shots he throws and the takedowns he attempts. Moreover, he’s able to mix up his offense well to the point that his opponent can’t read his next move to an accurate degree.

The times he has faltered in the cage was because he showed a sense of overzealous urgency when mounting an entry.

Sean Strickland comes in with an impressive 21-3 record, having faced the who’s-who in the UFC. He’s fought several high-level fighters, including names such as Kamaru Usman during his UFC tenure that began in March 2014. He’s not the most vocal fighter on the mic, thus causing him to be a relatively unknown player.

However, ‘Tarzan’ is looking to change the narrative around his career with his main card bout against Allen. The grizzly veteran has seen it all in MMA; however, he still remains somewhat vulnerable on the ground. Fans will be looking to the way he handles himself on the canvas should Allen integrate his offensive wrestling.

Prediction: Brendan Allen to claim a third-round submission
