

UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy spoke to the media ahead of the final UFC fight card of the year. The event is headlined by Stephen Thompson and Geoff Neal, and Hardy is tasked with being the main card opener. He’ll face off against Marcin Tybura in what is looked at as a bump up in competition.
Greg Hardy has been active ever since making the UFC his home, and his sights are squarely on the title. He’s beginning to reach the stage where it’s all tough outings from here on out as a professional. The heavyweight division is somewhat shallow, and it’s essential that he works towards breaking into the top of the division.

Greg Hardy on a career in boxing
The sport of boxing has picked up steam as of late, with recent high-profile fighters like Mike Tyson and Anthony Joshua stepping up. Hardy was asked to share his views on pursuing a career in boxing. ‘The Prince of War’ went off and he didn’t fail to cut a promo.

“Oh yeah, you know after I get done shutting this down, handling my MMA business, probably while I’m handling my MMA business I want to venture into the boxing realm. Dana, you know how I’m trying to holler at Dana. Hopefully, we can get some talks into the Zuffa boxing world, Top Rank, Al Heyman.”

“Somebody come holler at me cause I definitely want to go over there and knockout ‘The Gypsy King’. Make light work of that English cat, I don’t even remember his name, Joshua or whatever it is, Cry baby Bomber, we’ll knock all those guys out and of course, you know I’m gonna work for it.”

‘The Prince of War’ is certainly optimistic about his outlook of entering boxing and securing bouts against the biggest names. Getting Fury, Joshua, or Wilder to sign the dotted line will be as hard as trying to defeat the credentialed champions.
Hardy will need a push from the UFC in order to secure fights against the upper echelon of boxers. Moreover, a UFC championship over his shoulder would be the necessary push to entice the aforementioned boxers to scrap.
