The final UFC event of 2020 continued to produce ‘Of the Year’ performances with an outstanding effort by Jimmy Flick. The 16-5 fighter could very well be chasing the ‘Submission of the Year’ spot with a late flying triangle. At the very least, a check for ‘Performance of the Night’ will certainly await Flick through a clutch win.

UFC flyweight Jimmy Flick finished off his preliminary card opponent Cody Durden at 03:18 of round one. The finish itself came off a kick that quickly turned into a submission attempt.

Additionally, the biggest takeaway comes from the fact that Flick was able to make the required adjustments on the fly. He had to chain together a series of correction maneuvers that would eventually lead to the finish. Moreover, this will serve as motivation in the future as he’s been able to come out of treacherous waters already.

UFC flyweight: Jimmy Flick vs Cody Durden- An Overview

‘The Brick’ Flick certainly lived up to his reputation as a lethal strangler as he managed to accrue his 14th win by submission. His flying triangle choke submission marked his fourth straight win by submission, and this was what brought him into the UFC.
