Cody Garbrandt and Jake Paul Trash Each Other on Twitter After Cody Garbrandt’s Loss

UFC bantamweight contender Cody Garbrandt competed in the main event on the UFC’s recent fight card from the Apex Facility in Las Vegas. In the bout, Rob Font, who put together a comprehensive all-round display, defeated ‘No Love’ via unanimous decision. Chiefly, Garbrandt found success early in the fight with takedowns. However, Font had the striking tools in his arsenal to turn the tide.

Following his defeat at the hands of Rob Font, Cody Garbrandt’s record is now 1-4 in his last five fights. While he remains an elite talent, Garbrandt cannot find the necessary moving pieces to click. For the moment, he’s out of the title picture and will have a meaningful road back to the top.

Cody Garbrandt x Jake Paul: Never back down

As is with many things in the combat sports world, Jake Paul has inserted himself into the narrative of the aforementioned fight. Not long after Cody Garbrandt’s defeat, ‘The Problem Child’ lived up to his moniker once more and needled yet another name from the UFC. He took to social media and trolled the former champion.

Not one to take it laying down, ‘No Love’ didn’t take too long to clap back at Paul for his social media trolling. Cody Garbrandt’s feuds with TJ Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz showed that he’s willing to dish out any warring words coming his way. While reverting to a rather school-yard trolling tactic, Garbrandt successfully sent a message to the YouTuber turned boxer.

Trolling aside, Cody Garbrandt has more pressing things on his mind with regards to his career in the UFC. While there were plenty of positives to take away from in the contest, Garbrandt’s overall record is tanking. However, he’ll take solace in the fact that his chin held up against one of the hardest hitters in the weight class.

There are plenty of exciting match-ups for Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt despite him losing the bout. He has a significant name value and has been a fighter that the UFC brass have gotten behind in terms of promotion.
