UFC strawweight Cheyanne Buys scored the fourth fastest finish in the history of the flyweight division at UFC Vegas 33. ‘The Warrior Princess’ closed the show at 1:00 of the very first round after landing a picture-perfect head kick. Buys landed the finishing blow on Gloria de Paula as she was getting up off the canvas following a takedown.

De Paula managed to hang on after being head kicked and referee Mark Smith allowed the action to continue. Cheyanne Buys didn’t wait around as she swarmed her opponent and landed multiple heavy elbows and follow-up shots. Smith had no choice but to step in and stop the fight handing Buys the TKO win.

Cheyanne Buys came into the contest off a loss and was determined to get back on track in a huge way. De Paula is technical on the feet and Buys was expecting the bout to be contested on the canvas. However, that wasn’t the case as Buys made sure to earn a statement win for all to see.
