UFC Vegas 36: Derek Brunson vs Darren Till

Derek Brunson is on a four-fight win streak and some might say is on the best run of his professional career. The 37-year-old defeated Kevin Holland via unanimous decision in his last fight and went on to re-establish himself as a contender. Not to mention, he’s even handled up-and-comers like Edmen Shahbazyan with relative ease proving his mettle in the sport.

Brunson is one of the best chain wrestlers for MMA and he’s able to turn the tide of a fight with his grappling. From body locks to single legs in close range, Brunson can mix things up to his advantage very effectively. While he’s taken quite a bit of damage to his chin over the years, he’s certainly a well-rounded prospect who will bring it.

Darren Till’s recent record in the UFC is not indicative of the championship-level talent he possesses. He’s well-sized for the division and his striking is elite even against some of the more seasoned campaigners. Once he gets going, it’s hard to stunt Till’s creativity as he’ll go out of his way to put on a striking masterclass.

However, he’s 1-3 in his last four fights and needs to pick up a victory to remain a threat to the title. Adesanya has already expressed some interest to fight him, thus making it possible to get a title shot off a win over Brunson.
