UFC Fans Hail Jose Aldo on Twitter After He Puts on a Five-Round War Against Rob Font

UFC featherweight Jose Aldo picked up the unanimous decision win over Rob Font in a blockbuster five-round fight. Aldo turned back the clock and showcased his superior striking skills, coupled with his impressive power. Rob Font simply couldn’t stand up to Aldo’s heavy hands as the former featherweight champion landed with ease.

Font was dropped multiple times in the fight, however, he managed to maintain his composure. Chiefly, Aldo didn’t necessarily chase the finish even after having Font hurt and was content to keep the fight at an even pace. ‘The King of Rio’ also shot for some clutch takedowns as the fight went on and aimed to establish a dominant position.

There’s a lot of anticipation regarding Aldo’s future, as he’s someone who fans want to see as the divisional champion. The MMA community lauded Jose Aldo, and it’s likely that he’s one big win away from a title shot.

Jose Aldo extended his win streak to three and is 31-7 as a professional. He continues to evolve and grow despite reaching the summit of the sport in his career. After his fight, ‘The King of Rio’ spoke to Daniel Cormier and revealed that he wants to face T.J Dillashaw next.

Aldo is determined to leave the sport with the bantamweight title around his waist. Thus far he has proven to be the better man against three marquee bantamweight in a row and a win over Rob Font will be huge on his resume. Font came into this fight on a four-fight win streak and was surging up the ranks in his own right.
