Kevin Holland comments on Trevin Giles’ UFC Vegas 5 pullout

However, his opponent seemed to have an idea regarding the same and aired his thoughts at the post-fight media interaction via MMA Junkie. ‘Trail Blazer’ first expresses concern for the well-being of his opponent.

“He had made a comment like every time one fight blows out, he gets another fight and it’s tougher. So if you say stuff like that it’s kinda like, what’re you saying and then you pass out in the hallway.”

“I mean I hope there’s nothing wrong with the guy, no serious condition, I hope he did not cut too much weight or whatever the case may be.”

Later, he touches on some comments that he heard Giles had made and believes that ‘The Problem’ staged the incident to avoid fighting. He opines that his opponent held his breath to faint and get pulled out of the fight.

“But at the back of my head, I’m honestly believing that he held his breath until he passed out so that he would not get the smackdown from the smack man. That’s what I’m feeling.”

However, the fighter adds that there is no ill will. But he wishes that his opponent had just said he doesn’t want to fight. Furthermore, he said, “that’s what 6-year-olds do” when describing the incident which took place as the main card began.

Additionally, Holland says he would be open to the fight being rebooked. However, he has one condition, which is that the UFC must have a standby opponent. This he feels is necessary as, “Who’s to say the kid won’t hold his breath again.”
