When you think of crazy stunts, Michel Pereira is the name that comes to mind. Pereira (23-11-0, 2NC) pulls off some of the craziest stunts inside as well as outside the octagon. However, Pereira lost his last 2 fights against Tristan Connely and Diego Sanchez (DQ).
Michael Chiesa, who was an analyst for UFC Fight Night 167 was not impressed by his performance. Chiesa had some harsh words for Pereira after his fight with Diego Sanchez.
Chiesa said, “we don’t need the flips, we don’t need the flash, we need you to fight.” Chiesa was referring to Pereira’s cardio issues which mainly arise due to the insane stunts he pulls off. However, fellow analyst and retired MMA fighter Michael Bisping quickly cut off Chiesa before he could finish. Bisping interrupted by saying “Michael, I love you buddy but no! More backflips, more wild stuff.”
Bisping feels that by doing more stunts, Pereira can entertain the crowd and hold on to their attention. He called Pereira’s stunts “awesome.”
When Michael Chiesa tried to interrupt Michael Bisping, he became the victim of Bisping’s words. Both analysts get into a banter while trying to prove their point. Chiesa tried to point out to Pereira’s record but was interrupted by Bisping.
Bisping asked Chiesa to shut up while referencing his last fight. Chiesa’s last fight was against Rafael Dos Anjos, which he won by a unanimous decision. Bisping hinted that Chiesa’s last fight was boring.
“How did your last fight go? I was falling asleep when I was commentating.” Said, Bisping.
Michael Bisping is one of the best on the microphone. Throughout his MMA career, he was well-known for his trash-talking abilities. Bisping knew how to sell a fight and keep the crowd entertained. When you take Bisping one on one on the microphone, you are likely to lose. Even after retiring, Bisping is sharp with his words and Michael Chiesa was unfortunate enough to be his latest victim.
