Zubaira Tukhugov (19-4-1) stopped  Kelvin Aguilar (17-3) at UFC Fight Night 168. Tukhugov landed some good shots before finishing Aguilar with ground and pound. The featherweight bout was the final match on UFC Fight Night 168 prelims.

Aguilar was coming off a unanimous decision loss against Dan Ige. Whereas Tukhugov was coming off a loss over Renato Carneiro in 2016 and a draw against Lerone Murphy last year. However, it seems like Tukhugov is finally back on track with a quick finish against Aguilar.

Tukhugov drew Aguilar in a firefight in which Aguilar had to pay a heavy price. He landed a beautiful left hook which dropped Aguilar. However, Aguilar was able to get on his feet with rubber legs. Sensing the finish, Tukhugov moved forward and tagged his opponent with brutal shots.

He followed with another left look and rained down a barrage of punches on his opponent. The Referee had no choice but to stop the fight.

“Every day I’m working with it,” Tukhugov said about his powerful left hand. “That’s my best move with the left hook,” said Tukhugov.

Tukhugov, who frequently trains with the UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov made headlines back in 2018 after the post-fight brawl between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, this time he proved why he deserves to be in the UFC.

Tukhugov can give problems to many featherweights in the UFC. If he can claim a few more victories, we can expect him to fight ranked opponents in the future.
