Dallas honors Richardson with a huge tribute

Sha’Carri Richardson cherishes her high school track days, and her bond with her high school coach, Lauren Cross, remains strong to this day. While she keeps receiving love from the fans frequently, her brilliant performances were recently honored as the Dallas Independent School District Board decided to rename their racetrack after SCR.

10 November 20123 was the date of the track-naming ceremony. The copy of the invitation to the ceremony was shared on Instagram by SCR herself. Richardson captioned the post, “I literally can’t even put into words the honor it is to have this legendary track to be named after me in my hometown. TRIPLE D, thank you for being apart of my journey NO PLACE LIKE HOME I will be back home This Friday for this unforgettable moment!!!”

SCR is familiar with this track, just one mile away from the high school she attended. Getting a track named after you, that too at just 23 years of age, is undoubtedly a huge achievement.
