Pool players and roster change in Season 3 Unrivaled

Pool players in Unrivaled practice daily and have access to amenities like every other player. These players have been reserved for situations like when injuries occur, and clubs need extra players to fill the roster.

Kaila Charles, Brittney Griner, Gabriela Jaquez, Raven Johnson, Ta’Niya Latson and Olivia Nelson-Ododa are six pool players this season.

Earlier, playoff teams were allowed to retain two of their players in the following season, while non-playoff teams were allowed to retain just one. But this year, the league changed the approach.

“It’s a little bit different this year,” the source told The IX Sports. “Every roster was built through a combination of club draft selections and collaboration between head coaches and the league office. There was a continued emphasis on competitive balance, complementary skill sets, and continuity of club identities.”

One of the notable names absent this season will be Aliyah Boston, who will be out after undergoing knee surgery.

Unrivaled Tour with Ally

In its third season, Unrivaled is organizing a Tour with Ally that is aimed at expanding the league’s reach in other cities and expanding its fanbase. While the league is still primarily based in Miami, Unrivaled has added eight Tour Stops across different cities for a night of highly competitive basketball.

Each game night will feature two games, with four clubs participating in back-to-back games. Fans will be able to watch both games on a game ticket. During Tour Games, all 48 players will travel by road on a bus. Los Angeles, Detroit, New York, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Boston and Houston will host Tour Games.

This season will mark the first time that Unrivaled will be played in Detroit.

“Detroit has such a passionate basketball community, and we’re excited to bring Unrivaled to the city for the first time,” Unrivaled president Luke Cooper said in a statement. “With our full schedule and rosters now revealed, fans can see the incredible talent coming to Little Caesars Arena, and we look forward to introducing them to the unique experience.”

Here is the schedule for Tour Games.
