The 15.40 update for Fortnite arrived with a ton of content and meta changes. It included new game modes like Air Royale and Floor is Lava, and the return of the classic Flint-Knock pistol. Furthermore, the NPCs now offer more than a single exotic weapon, making it easier for squads to use them collectively.

Chapter 2 Season 5 has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the community up till now. Several bounty hunters like the Mandalorian and Predator arrived on the island, and have stayed to trouble the players as bosses. There is a wide range of new skins that were added in the current season; naturally, Epic Games would want to end it on a similar note.

The CatBurglar codename in the current files hints towards Midas who is all set to return to Fortnite yet again. The character might return either in a male or female skin. There’s also a possibility of Midas boasting some unique styles and effects that cater to the ongoing storyline.

Alongside Midas, two more NPCs codenamed Labrador and Umami will also make their way to the island.

Data miners are yet to decrypt the files of all the aforementioned wraps and skins, owing to which their appearance is still a mystery.

However, the Jumbo Popcorn emote is an exception. iFireMonkey, on Twitter, recently uploaded the first look of the emote:

The Jumbo Popcorn emote will be available in the Item Shop on February 19, at 7 PM ET.

Sony and Microsoft had earlier collaborated with Fortnite to promote their new-gen consoles. Both Kratos and Master Chief skins were available for the PlayStation, and Xbox users, exclusively. Hence, rumors of a similar announcement in the latest Nintendo Direct had been floating around from a long time.

To everyone’s disappointment, the event did not talk about any such collaboration, and from the looks of it, players will have to continue waiting for a collaboration between Nintendo and Fortnite.
