Clearly, the US Open is taking extreme measures to control the spread of the coronavirus. But that is something that is necessary since the United States is the country that has recorded the most number of coronavirus cases in the entire world.

Also, I think everyone will agree that it is better to take such extreme measures than to cancel the tournament. That was what happened with the 2020 Wimbledon and it is good that it is not happening with the US Open.

This schedule is the most exhausting one in the history of tennis. There are going to be different tournaments played almost every single week which is going to be exhausting especially with travel. This is why players might skip the US Open in order to rest themselves.

Since the US Open is one of the biggest tournaments in tennis, this is something that should not happen. And hopefully, this year’s editions will be an astounding success despite the coronavirus pandemic.
