Kai Greene, the bodybuilding icon, shares in an interview in 2020 that the most important thing for him has been his routine. He explains how a disciplined routine is his topmost priority.

Kai Greene is a professional bodybuilding icon who comes from a very humble background. From there, he went on to secure not one but three second-place finishes at 2012, 2013, and 2014 editions of the Mr. Olympia competition.

Kai Greene follows a strict routine

In an interview in 2020, Kai Greene shares how he follows a strict routine and that is the most important thing for him. He says, “At that time, the most important thing in my life, you know, was the thing that I was invested in, which was distinguishing myself as an athlete in this life.”

Greene shares how got the success that he did only because of the strict routine that he followed. He used to wake up at 4:30 am every single day and get to work. He used to do workouts following a cardio session. Even to this day, he maintains the same routine. Although it is now a bit flexible to accommodate his other business commitments. Talking of routine, he still follows a professional bodybuilder-like routine and trains and eats accordingly.

Arnold Schwarzenegger once said, “I Throw Up, When I Look in The Mirror.” Also, the bodybuilding icon, Chris Bumstead, once mentioned how he felt discouraged when he saw himself in the mirror. Greene’s strict routine even after retiring from pro-bodybuilding allows him to stay confident looking at himself even now!

Greene becomes an entrepreneur

Kai Greene is also a successful entrepreneur and actor in addition to being a bodybuilding icon. He appears in the 2015 film College Debts. Greene also appears in a popular Netflix series Stranger Things, and the 2018 martial arts film, Crazy Fist. Greene also endorses many brands.

This gives an insight into how bodybuilders think when looking at themselves and introspecting. This also shows how Greene’s belief in a strict routine is true. Like Greene says, a strict routine can take anyone places and hence, must be followed religiously.
