“You Should Do It” Fans React to the Latest Feud Between Lance Armstrong and His Old Foe

Lance Armstrong was the face of the cycling sport in the 2000s. The Legend dominated almost every major tournament during his prime form. However, serious charges of using PEDs snatched everything away from Armstrong. His 7 Tour de France titles got stripped. 

Even after a decade of his conviction, people are still interested in Armstrong’s recent ventures. Irish journalist Paul Kimmage also wanted something similar. Paul Kimmage played a major role in bringing out Armstrong’s controversy back then.

The Feud between Lance Armstrong and Paul Kimmage

However, fans were not sure whether Kimmage genuinely wants to cover Armstrong’s story or just wanted to settle old scores. Recently he revealed his angle on the doping controversy in a two-part news piece. He put serious allegations against Armstrong and called him a ‘cancer’ to the world of cycling.

Lance Armstrong didn’t take this incident lightly and bashed Paul on Twitter. He tweeted “@PaulKimmage – you’re a [Joker emoji]. Move on dude.” The tweet sparked a new controversy between the old foes.

Lance Armstrong Faced a Worthy Foe Who Came Back From the Brink of Death to Compete at the Highest Level

Lance also attached a picture in the tweet. The picture featured in an old email from Paul dated back in August 2022. The Irish journalist was asking Lance Armstrong to come up for an interview. Armstrong wouldn’t have probably replied to Kimmage’s request.

Fans’ reaction to the latest spat

After Armstrong’s bold tweet, this online spat expectedly garnered a lot of reactions from the fans. The controversy is getting mixed reactions from both sides. One fan supported Paul and questioned Lance. 

Another fan supported Lance Armstrong and claimed that even after taking drugs, nobody can win seven consecutive Tour De France titles.

One fan still considers Armstrong to be the best plate cyclist ever. He also thanked Armstrong for his podcasts.
