Surfing legend Kelly Slater, who is regarded as the greatest professional surfer of all time, recently shared a picture with legendary comedian Bill Murray showing his support for him. This picture comes up after a controversy erupted following a big revelation by a magazine.

When talking about Slater, the surfing icon is best known for being crowned the World Surf League champion a record 11 times. He began surfing at the age of five. By the time he reached ten years of age, he had already started winning surfing competitions. Slater won his first age-division United States Championship title at only 12.

Kelly Slater appears to be Bill Murray’s only remaining friend!

Slater recently shared a picture on Instagram showing him with comedy legend Bill Murray. This picture shows Slater’s support for Murray after Vanity Fair magazine released a list of people who have publicly accused Bill Murray of misconduct.

The list published by Vanity Fair magazine is pretty exhaustive and hence many people have cut ties with Murray following the accusations. However, Salter shared to picture to reinforce his support for Murray. They both appear nicely dressed in black suits in the picture and are posing for the camera.

Salter might be one of the few people expressing their support for Murray publicly. Even though many people still do support Murray, they aren’t coming out in public due to the controversy that erupted after the list came out. However, Slater seems to be an exception.

Slater is an environmentalist!

Slater is a firm supporter of a sustainable and clean living lifestyle. He is very passionate about preserving oceans. The surfing icon is also involved with protecting temperate reefs in California through his partnership with Reef Check. At times, Slater always supports initiatives that support the environment and prevent its harm.

It is interesting to see Slater coming out in support of Murray as he expressed through his Instagram post. After so many stars accused Murray of misconduct, it would be interesting to see who else comes in Murray’s support.
