Retired Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps has been happily married to his wife Nicole Johnson for seven years. The couple met at an award show in 2007, where Mrs. Phelps was the swimmer’s athlete guide. Since they began dating, the couple faced several ups and down together, strengthening their union. Recently, Michael and Nicole encountered another new experience in their long married life. 

A few hours ago, Michael Phelps took to his Instagram stories to share an activity he performed with his wife for the first time at the 2023 Accelerate Summit held at the Salt Palace Convention Centre. He expressed his wonderful experience with a small note as well.

Therefore, a joyous Michael Phelps shared a picture of them sitting on the couch during the summit with Nicole adorably looking at him. He also added a small note with the picture expressing his happiness, “Was fun sharing the stage w @mrs.nicolephelps! The 1st time.” During the summit, the couple shared their take on accelerating businesses on e-commerce and global marketplaces with their innovative ideas. 

Nevertheless, the couple looked stunning in their respective ensembles. The retired swimmer donned a pair of white pants and a black-and-white striped t-shirt. He layered it with a smart blue blazer. Moreover, he chose brown loafers as his footwear. On the other hand, Nicole wore an adorable white bodycon dress with puffed sleeves and transparent heels.

Both Nicole and Michael have come a long way in their marriage. However, Mrs. Phelps was not very excited when she first met the love of her life.

It all started for Phelps when he met Nicole at the 2007 ESPY Award. Although Nicole was assigned to guide Michael Phelps at the event, she was not very flattered by the athlete she was assigned. 

She told in an interview with The New York Times, “I really wanted to escort Travis Pastrana.” However, eventually, they realized that they had a lot in common. Soon they started dating, but their relationship faced many on-and-off phases for the next eight years. Finally, in 2015, the couple got engaged and planned their wedding after the Rio Olympics. However, they had to prepone their wedding on June 13th, 2016, to ease traveling facilities for their then-newborn son, Boomer.

At last, on October 29th, the couple threw a grand wedding celebration. Currently, they are leading a great life with their three children, Boomer, Beckett, and Maverick.
