As per the report by 7News, the mother of Aubrey, Natalie Ripps, mentions the disastrous situation, saying, “When I found Aubrey she was laying on the ground and people were just running on top of her so it was pretty scary and she wasn’t moving so that was pretty terrifying.” There was serious danger in the arena since the bull could have hurt anybody there, but the rodeo officials arrived quickly to help.

The KCRA stated that the bull wandered off because of a faulty gate lock. Also, they made sure the animal was safely removed from the crowd and declared that the KCRA is working to prevent such incidents in the future. However, the rodeo grounds will be more heavily patrolled, but the festivities will still take place there.
