The Red Sox made a quick start in Fenway Park today, racing to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning itself. Xander Bogaerts smashed a pitch from Gerrit Cole straight into the stands to hand the Red Sox a two-run home run.

From that point on, it was plain sailing for the home team as the Yankees failed to trouble them significantly. Given how fierce their rivalry is, the Red Sox celebrated in emphatic fashion following a comprehensive victory over the Yankees.
