Jackie Chan had trust issues

In his book Never Grow Up, Jackie Chan made several previously unknown revelations and talked about his personal life in detail. While talking about his family, Chan recalled the day his son Jaycee was born. Although it was happy news, Chan did not feel content about it.

“As happy as I was that Joan and Jaycee were both fine and that I was a father, I have to admit that some doubts popped into my head,” confessed the actor. Although Chan loved his wife, and never doubted her at first, it was an incident that had occurred with his friend that left him torn.

He narrated the story in his book and wrote, “One of my martial artist friends came home after a movie shoot to his entire house cleaned out by his girlfriend?money, savings, furniture, all gone.” Besides this, Chan’s other friends often filled his mind with false perceptions about women.

This made the actor believe that even Lin would betray or lie to him one day, and rob his money. However, this doubtful behavior led the legendary actor to a shameful monetary habit, which he was later embarrassed about.

Chan restricted his wife from using his money

Further in his book, Chan explained that his friend’s negative influence grew so much on him that he did not trust Joan Lin with his money. Chan had become so delusional that even after earning millions, he limited Lin’s access to his finances.

He never shared his account details with his wife and ensured that if they ever got divorced, Lin would not receive anything from him. At that time, Chan was influenced by the people around him. But later, he realized his mistakes and was ashamed of his behavior. Evidently, the legend is a changed man.
