The latest big-screen release Barbie 2023 was much on the news discourses for its controversial clashing date with Oppenheimer. Both movies were equally hyped by their specific fans on social media before releasing on the 21st of July. Undoubtedly both of the films made a huge success at the box office. And after the release, fans created one more famous trend called ‘The Barbie trend.’

The director, Greta Gerwig gave a new definition to stereotypical Barbie with a celebration of women’s empowerment. The old Barbie was often criticized earlier for its beauty standards and unrealistic fantasy world of girls, but all that is redefined now. The trend is widely followed by Barbie fans across the globe. Simone Biles and Olivia Dunne also joined the trend earlier, where Biles said that she will definitely go to watch Barbie. And LSU star glamorized social media with her Barbie look. Now, the former World Cup alpine skiing racer, Lindsey Vonn was also seen following the trend and embracing her femininity. She showed perfection with a blend of flaws and imperfections.

Lindsey Vonn celebrates her flaws with the Barbie trend

The alpine skier, Vonn has never shied away from speaking her mind. Whether it’s mental health issues, women’s rights, equity, or advocating feminism, Vonn never backed down from raising her voice. This time, she shared her gym image on Instagram showing the real self of the athlete with Barbie essence. Vonn beautifully demonstrated her imperfections stating, “While I love pink and Barbie makes me nostalgic for my youth, the biggest takeaway is that real life isn’t perfect. I work hard, kindness is at my core, I have cellulite, I have wrinkles, I have fallen more times than I can count but I always get back up.”

After purring forward the flaws, Vonn illustrated how this all assisted to make her own identity. The Olympian said, “My flaws are what make me, me. I don’t lead a separate life on social media, what you see here is what you get. So if you ever feel flawed, know that’s what makes you special.” Lindsey Vonn did not only follow the femininity trend of Barbie, but she also followed the ‘Barbiecore trend.’

The barbie-core trend is also a sarcastic answer to the stereotypical relation of femininity with pink color. The core includes all the charming things that a Barbie includes in her feminine look with of course the pink color. Not only just fans but many famous celebrities like Billie Eilish, Kourtney Kardashian, Addison Ray, Priyanka Chopra, and many more across the globe are celebrating the trend. Following them, the Alpine queen also posted her pink avatar on Instagram, trying six different shades. The looks were utterly gorgeous and much loved by her fans.
