Lindsey Vonn on fashion and style

In a segment with Today, Lindsey Vonn dished on her favorite style and outfits. Of course, her preferences are in part motivated by her skiing career. So it makes sense that her favorite outfit is her Olympic race suit from Vancouver that brought her a gold medal.

When asked to describe her style, Vonn responded that she’s more of “a Rihanna-Jennifer Aniston combination.” Rihanna, worth $1.2 billion, is known for her wacky yet classy fashion sense, creating striking and bold silhouettes. Aniston, with an estimated net worth of $320 Million, is known to be an expert at playing with proportions.

When we see Vonn’s red carpet looks, it’s not hard to see the influence of the two pop-culture fashion icons. Clearly, the woman with 82 World Cup wins knows how to work the red carpet. With her daring looks that highlight her athletic and toned body, Vonn has made her mark on the fashion world.

Vonn’s interest in fashion

Last year, Lindsey Vonn was a part of Thom Browne’s AW21 Film and interviewed with Vogue to talk about all things fashion. The retired skier opened up about her developing interest in fashion and how she expresses herself through it.

“I’ve loved dressing up since I was a kid, and I think it was there I got in the habit of putting my best foot forward. I’d say I have a more classic style, but I also like to be a little bit edgier when I can,” she shared.

Of course, her sense of style has grown with time, but her passion remained the same. “And, like everyone, my style has evolved with time,” she added. “You go through waves of being more reserved, and waves of being a little bit more feminine and sexy, and it just depends on where you are in life, but I’ve always been passionate about it.”

The 20-time Crystal Globe winner also shared that she used to design her own ski suits. Even if there isn’t a lot of creative freedom involved in them. With ski suits acting more as a uniform, she focused more on her overall look. Vonn used make-up to express her femininity.
