Alpine skiing and Lindsey Vonn are like synonyms of each other. Starting at 14, Vonn won a record four Olympic medals and 82 world championships, earning her the position as one of history’s best alpine skiers.

Big leaps, agility, and lightning-fast speed are a few of the marvels one witnesses watching Vonn adorn the skis. She is so renowned in the sport that Tom Brady, the NFL’s greatest quarterback of all time with the highest number of Super Bowl titles, used Vonn’s films to understand the nitty-gritty of skiing while on a family ski vacation in 2019.

Lindsey Vonn leaves Tom Brady amazed

Tom Brady posted about his skiing plans on Instagram. He also shared a video about a minor fall he had a few years earlier that left him in a lot of pain.  “This was from two years ago. This was me. I was taking way too much time getting into this jump and I pushed off, I was way ahead of my skis and then full [fall onto my ] left shoulder. That was a lot of pain.”  he said.

Well, it didn’t stop him there, and to avoid embarrassment from a similar circumstance in the future and to rewrite his memory with a great skiing experience, he turned to watch Vonn’s films. Tom’s expressions displayed awe for Vonn’s skills. Also evident in his words. “..she’s just got a way bigger hill, way more speed and she’s perfectly balanced. Way bigger hill. Way more speed. That’s what it’s got to be. Let’s go.”

Vonn replies to Brady’s post

Based on Lindsey’s comments, it is safe to say that she was excited to watch Brady take skiing so seriously. “Dude… this is pretty awesome,” Also, she showed enthusiasm to help him in his skiing efforts with a pro tip. “Pro tip — stay balanced over your skis.”

Brady took the learning profoundly and applied it to the test as he posted a video a few days later. Tom captioned the video saying, “A little downhill this morning … now we just need to find the jump.” Conveying that he was carefully putting to practice the lessons learned from the videos he watched and the fall he experienced.
