At 38 years old, the skiing Olympian Lindsey Vonn is renowned for her remarkable speed that often leaves her competitors trailing behind. While Vonn is typically associated with tearing down slopes on snow, her recent adventure took her to a different terrain—water. Captured in snapshots shared on her Instagram, she can be seen gliding atop a jet ski, relishing the sensation of wind against her body.

Interestingly, this aquatic escapade comes only two weeks after Vonn underwent a significant knee surgery. Her struggles with her right knee have been ongoing, and this procedure isn’t the first time she’s undergone such an operation. She was sidelined from all competitions for a period of time. She made her return to the World Cup in November 2013 in France. However, luck was not on her side, as she sustained another significant injury to her right knee. This second fall compelled her to remain on the sidelines, watching the Sochi Olympics pass by while she focused on nursing her injured knee back to health. Despite this setback, Lindsey Vonn persisted in skiing and achieving victories for another six years before ultimately retiring on February 10, 2019. While she stands as one of the most successful skiers in history, her fans believe that she still had the potential for several more competitive years.
