Titles, achievements, and records play a big part in the world of sports. Players strive to not just be the best in the current league, but be the best of all time. Things are no different when it comes to skiing, where players never cease to amaze spectators.

Skiing is one of the most beautiful and fantastic sports in the world. It is one of the best individual and team sports where players display both speed as well as grace. The sport requires high-quality gear to facilitate competition. However, a unique group of individuals created their own unique impression by ditching it away.

A large group of skiing enthusiasts gathered at The Remarkables Ski Resort near Queenstown, New Zealand, to ski together. What separated this from a regular gathering was the fact that all skiers were clad in nothing but swimwear. The skiing enthusiasts ditched the usual skiing winter gear to embrace the cold winds and ravishing snow. Several snowboarders had also joined the skiers. The gathering was organized as part of the second iteration of the ‘Polar Bare’ event. While the participants were gathered just to have fun, they also achieved an unofficial record in the process. The fun-loving crowd stood strong at approximately 1500 participants. The large number of people topped the previous biggest record of 1008 people gathered in Sochi in 2016.

So far, the people have sent no formal applications to Guinness World Records to lay claim to their achievement. The crowds displayed their vibrant swimwear as they glided on the snow to soulful DJ beats. The Polar Bare event achieved a phenomenal rise of 40 percent in participants compared to its first edition. The unofficial yet remarkable skiing achievement arrived just weeks before the upcoming Alpine Ski World Cup. Skiing fans are looking forward to the prestigious contest to witness another year of high-stakes action from Mikaela Shiffrin.
