Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man had fun catching up with one of the greatest soccer players today. Thirty-five-year-old Bolt attended a Major League Soccer match between Inter Miami CF and Los Angeles FC.

Sadly for Inter Miami’s team owner David Beckham, the club lost to the LAFC by two goals to none. However, he did spend some time after with Usain Bolt on the ground. In fact, Bolt took to Instagram to share the occasion with his fans and the world.

Usain Bolt and David Beckham catch up in Fort Lauderdale

46-year-old David Beckham is one of the most popular soccer players in history. Additionally, he is also the co-owner and currently the president of MLS club Inter Miami CF.

Today, Inter Miami CF played hosts to the LAFC, and sadly, the former lost on home turf, with no goals to show against LAFC’s two goals. Nevertheless, David Beckham took to the greens to greet Usain Bolt and spend time with the retired Jamaican sprinter.

Bolt posted the photograph of his arm around the British soccer great and wrote how it was “always great catching up with” David in the caption.

Similarly, Beckham himself felt stoked to meet Usain Bolt as well. He took to his Instagram stories to reshare Bolt’s post and wrote “great to see the big man in town”. Clearly, the two legendary athletes loved seeing each other and catching up in Florida.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has lately been challenging many athletes to sprint-offs. In fact, the ‘cheetah’ also challenged Usain himself at the NHL All-Star game.

However, Bolt had initially seemed to refuse the challenge. The Jamaican cited Hill’s loss to other linebacking NFL players as reason enough to not race Hill.

Now, though, things are heating up again, as Bolt just recently released a new video in which he seems to be training quite hard. It is no secret that since his retirement in 2017, Bolt has allowed himself to get a little out of shape.
