Team USA?s streak continues at the Pan American Games. Five USA archers had a successful run through to their respective semifinals. Brady Ellison and Jackson Mirich of Recurve Men were two of them. A semi-final victory for any of the archers will secure their quota slot at the Paris Olympics 2024.

The other way to secure the quota slot is if the recurve mixed team gets the gold. Ellison and Casey Kaufhold will be competing there. Mirich will be facing Ricardo Soto (Chile) and Ellison will be up against Matias Grande (Mexico). There is a possibility that it might be an all-USA gold medal match. The coach of Team USA was the happiest and decided to celebrate the win in a unique way.

The coach celebrates their victory in style

Lanola Pritchard Shephard is one of those names that doesn?t pop up when the victory news of a team or a player breaks in. She is one of the most important parts of the winning team. The coach of the USA Archery team and their hype person celebrated the victory through a lasting tribute.

She celebrated the victory in the semi-finals by getting a colored tattoo of ?Fiu? doing archery. The story caption said, “@coachkslinternation getting a @santiago2023oficial to celebrate @teamusa recurve AND compound mixed teams through SEMIFINALS” .‘Fiu’ is the official mascot of the Pan American Games Santiago 2023. The coach getting the tattoo was a lasting tribute to the Pan American Games 2023. and their win.

With Team USA making it into the final four at the Pan American games, hope is all on their side. @usaarchery celebrated the achievement with a post on their Instagram account congratulating Alexis Ruiz, Sawyer Sullivan, Casey Kaufhold, Brady Ellison, and Jackson Mirich. They posted a photograph of the archers and wrote, ?Team USA is into the FINAL FOUR at the Pan American Games!??Two archers will be heading to an individual medal journey looking forward to a victorious finals.

Team USA aiming for Bulls-eye

Alexis Ruiz and Sawyer Sullivan will be on the journey to bring in the individual medals in the compound division. In the compound women, Ruiz bested Paola Ramirez (Pur) by 148-147.

Ruiz will be facing Alejandra Usquiano (Col) in the second semi-final. Sullivan defeated Alejandro Patricio Martin Arriagada (Chi) by 147-143. Sawyer on the other hand will be facing Jagdeep Singh Mejia (Col) in his semi-final.

Though Schaff took a fall at the individual game he has made his way into the gold medal match along with Alexis Ruiz. The compound mixed team defeated Chile 157-151 and then bested Brazil with a 158-156 triumph. With the USA quota slots on the line to grab, Team USA archery will look forward to finishing the Pan-American campaign with gold and come back victorious.
