Sprinting star Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won the National Sportswoman Award for the 5th time this year. The Jamaican athlete has been displaying her acumen for more than a decade now. Her last achievement was when she won the 100 m in Oregon with a record time of 10.62 in 2022. Recently, the sprinter shared her picture with the trophy in hand for which the athletic fraternity took pride and applauded her.

The Olympics medalist shared her latest accomplishment on her Instagram and to this, her competitor-turned-fans reacted and praised her. Let’s see what they chose to share.

Fraser-Pryce, 35, achieved her 5th world record of 100m after creating history in the same category in 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2019 in the past. The Jamaican government conferred her with the Order of Jamaica and she is also regarded as the Commander Class for Outstanding Performance in the field of athletics. After getting the national award, the champion took to her Instagram to share the news with the world.

Pryce captioned it with, “Friday night went a lil like this…Won my 5th National Sportswoman Award after an an amazing season where I won my 5th 100m World Championship title…”
