However, Correa’s controversial statement might endanger this potential deal. Carlos recently made a huge statement against New York Yankees Hall of Famer, and retired star Derek Jeter.

Correa appeared on the podcast, ‘Me Gustan Los Deportes podcast,’ and was brutally honest with his feelings. He said, “Derek Jeter didn’t deserve any of the Golden Gloves he won.”

Well, that will not work positively for Correa if he was looking for a future with the Yankees. And, even if the Yankees’ front office overlooks his words for their forthcoming shortstop needs, will the fans and players forget this?
