This is the first work stoppage in Major League Baseball in the last 28 years. The last time owners had initiated a lockout was back in 1994, which ended up canceling the 1994 World Series.
The current MLB lockout is also unlikely to end very soon. And if the owners and players do not find a solution, it will not just cost the games this season, but also the crucial time of players.
