Recently, a man named Manuel Ramos has put Jorge Soler’s home run ball for an auction. This is the same ball that the Braves’ outfielder had hit during Game 6 of the 2021 World Series against the Houston Astros. When Soler hit the ball during the 2021 World Series, it landed outside the Minute Maid Park on the fifth-floor balcony of an apartment in Houston.

If reports are to be believed, then Manuel Ramos, who found the Braves’ outfielder’s World Series home run ball, is auctioning the ball through a website named SCP Auction

As per Chron, this is the same website that sold a Babe Ruth game-worn jersey for a record of over $4.4 million in 2012. Which is still a record for the most expensive piece of sports memorabilia.

How much is to be paid for Soler’s home run ball?

Notably, reports state Soler’s home run ball may not cash that high an amount. Regardless, it is still doing pretty well on SCP Auctions. Ramos set the bidding price at $25,000 on Wednesday, and the ball has already received $33,275 by one of three bidders. The bidding, which started on January 19th, will end after 17 days on February 15th.

According to the Chron, Ramos was watching the game on his TV with his brother Richard at his apartment. When Soler hit the ball, it landed a block away from Minute Maid Park in Houston. Manuel and Richard saw exactly where the ball landed. And when no one came for the ball, they decided to grab it themselves. Even though Ramos is an Astros fan and at that time Astros were 3-0 down to the Braves, they were delighted after getting Soler’s ball.
