The New York Mets recently signed a huge technology deal with Samsung Electronics America, to upgrade the ballpark’s official display experience.

1,300 LCD screens to enhance the viewer’s experience

The New York Mets signed a multi-year deal with Samsung Electronics America, making them the official ballpark display and technology solutions partner. The Mets and Samsung have a lot of changes planned for the Citi Field.

Samsung, with its world-class technology, will help the viewers witness the match from every angle. New ribbon boards and more than 1,300 LCD screens across the ballpark will make sure fans don’t miss out on the pitches by their favorite players. Additionally, a new larger and enhanced centerfield scoreboard will come in 2023 to enhance the fan experience.

Notably, an IPTV system will be also installed, which will have around 100 channels of sports and entertainment content. If you are a fan of watching the match highlights in slow motion, then Mets and Samsung have got you covered.

New York Mets owner, Steve Cohen, has made a lot of changes in his team in the off-season. From players to their manager, now he has made a huge investment in technology.

Mets Chief Technology Officer, Mark Brubaker said, “Our partnership with Samsung is a significant investment from our owner Steve Cohen to bring the most state-of-the-art technology to the ballpark and provide our fans an even better experience at Citi Field.”

He further added, “The quality of these upgrades and integration into the daily experience for our fans make Citi Field an industry leader when it comes to the most innovative technological displays.”
