30-year-old Marcus has always been super active on social media, which sometimes also leads to Twitter wars. A recent tweet by him had led to fans assuming he was still not over the Cashman bitterness; however, he has clarified that it’s bygones for him now.

Marcus Stroman speaks highly of New York Yankees and Cashman

Back in 2019, New York Yankees GM, Brian Cashman, made a rather harsh statement on Marcus. Speaking on his intentions of signing Marcus in 2019, Cashman stated that Marcus is ‘not a difference maker.’ He also said that Marcus ‘would be in our bullpen in the postseason.’ Moreover, Marcus had then replied back to Cashman, sending him some stats that prove him wrong.

However, now in 2021, when journalist Jared Carrabis tweeted, “Brian Cashman direct quote said that he’s “not a difference maker” and he’s never going to forget that,” interestingly, Marcus replied to the tweet, saying, This tweet will continue to age unbelievably well. Lol.”

Fans assumed that Stroman still has bitter feelings given what Cashman said about him. However, clearing the air, Marcus settled the matter on Twitter. He revealed that Cashman had apologized to him and hence; he is now over it.

Marcus said, “I was bitter for a bit but then he apologized…so we gucci. Yankees Twitter all in their feels for no reason. It’s a great organization. I want to see them winning truly. MLB is more exciting when the Yankees play deep into October. I states a few facts. That’s all. Lol 😂🤷🏾‍♂️ “

When another Twitter user said, “Cashman still doesn’t want you,” Marcus still had a humble reply. He said, “That’s ok. He apologized for his comments so I no longer hold any resentment towards him. Wishing him well in all endeavors in the future!”

It seems like things are settled between Cashman and Marcus. Notably, Marcus has again become a free agent. However, would he be interested in signing for the Yankees?
