Marcus Stroman calls out New York Mets’ front office

Even though New York Mets did not have the best of seasons in 2021, Marcus Stroman shined through and through. Notably, he pitched in 33 games with an ERA of just over 3 runs. However, while Stroman was hoping to make a comeback to the Mets, he was disheartened to know, he wasn’t on the team’s priority list.

Marcus has always been honest with his fans on Twitter. In fact, he is one of the rare stars who actively interact with fans on social media. When a fan asked Marcus to come back home, as they desperately need him, the former Mets star had a dramatic rant, slamming the Mets front office.

Marcus tweeted, ”I would love to be back on the squad next year. I’ve proven that I can pitch in NY…others usually crumble under that New York pressure. However, I know a source who says the front office rather the other pitchers on the market. I’m going to dominate wherever I end up!”

Marcus is one of the top pitchers in free agency

According to Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors, if not Mets, many top franchises are interested in signing a deal with Marcus for the next season. The top names are Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, and Los Angeles Angels. In the 2021 season, Marcus had a FIP of 3.49. Notably, he struck out nearly eight batters per nine innings.
