Boston Red Sox had Fenway Park erupt last night as they won the ALDS, beating Tampa Bay Rays emphatically. While the entire team had a powerful outing, Kike Hernandez stole the show, putting on a stellar performance.

In the American League Division Series, the Red Sox lost to the Rays in Game 1, raising huge concerns ahead of the upcoming games. However, unlike others, Kike had no doubts about the team clinching the series.

Kike Hernandez reveals he had predicted their win

Boston Red Sox signed a deal with Kike Hernandez in 2021, and he has proved to be a dominant force for them, ever since. On Monday night, Red Sox clinched the ALDS, outclassing the Tampa Bay Rays to win the series by 3-1, and transcend into the ALCS.

After tasting victory, Kike revealed his thoughts while signing a deal with the team. Interestingly, the moment he saw the roster, he knew they will be standing in the playoffs.

Kike said, “Spring training. You know when I signed here I looked at the roster and I knew that you know we had a really a bunch of really good players, plenty players here that have done it before. I knew that we just had to hang in there until we got stale back. And we after we got stale I knew that we were going to become a really dangerous team. And here we are.”

Since his entry into the Red Sox team, Kike has become a crucial player. It will be fair to say that he was one of the front drivers for the team on the playoff ride. Throughout the series, he established the impressive 7 straight home runs hit record; Overall he has smashed 20 home runs for the team in 2021.

The play-offs did not look positive for the Red Sox after game one, but the way the team has changed since that loss is incredible. From a disappointing 0 in the first game, they went on to hit not one, but 5 home runs in the second game, and an overall score of 14-6.
