However, hopes of signing Seiya Suzuki have now emerged from the dead, despite strong reports claiming Seiya’s future to the arch-rivals, Boston Red Sox.
Notably, initial reports stated that the Red Sox and the Japanese star shared a mutual interest in a future relationship. However, things now might’ve taken an unexpected turn, opening the doors for Yankees to come in and make a swift deal.

Japanese talent, Seiya Suzuki was drafted in MLB in November and quite remarkably stole the spotlight with his incredible stats. Notably, big names like the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox have been linked to him ahead of the 2022 season. Moreover, speculations of a rumored relationship strengthened when Seiya followed Red Sox’s official Instagram page.

Hence, it would be too soon to draw out conclusions if Seiya is going to Red Sox or not; however, it does hint at his availability and that the Yankees are still part of the race.
