Since the start, the National League Championship Series was looking one-sided in the favor of the Atlanta Braves. However, courtesy of the heroics of Cody Bellinger, the Los Angeles Dodgers are back in the game.
The reigning World Series champions finally opened their account in NLCS, clinching game three against the Braves. Dodgers won the game by 6-5, as Cody smashed a three-run homer.

Cody Bellinger saves the day
The Los Angeles Dodgers were struggling in the NLCS, against the Atlanta Braves, who had won the first two games. But the atmosphere in the Dodger stadium changed, as the Los Angeles Dodgers finally made a comeback.
In the first innings of the game, Dodgers started on a positive note, securing 2 runs. Albeit, the Braves were also in their best form as they gained 5 runs till the fifth innings, while Dodgers were still on 2.

Astonishingly, in the eighth innings, Cody Bellinger smashed a three-run home, bringing the Dodgers back from the dead end. With this dramatic comeback, Dodgers clinched their first game of NLCS, by 6-5.

Notably, it was the second-highest pitch he has ever homered on. Hitting a pitch above the strike zone, and a pitch with high velocity, are two challenging things separately. But Cody faced both together, and he still magically swung his bat and seized the opportunity. The pitch was 4.12 feet high and was coming at 95.6 mph.
Thanks to his last-minute home run, the Dodgers were saved from giving the Braves the embarrassing 3-0 lead.
What’s next?
The Dodgers fans have their dead hopes back, as they are back in the game. Although the Braves still have a 2-1 lead, at least now they won’t be clean sweeping the NLCS.
