Notably, it was the second-highest pitch he has ever homered on. Hitting a pitch above the strike zone, and a pitch with high velocity, are two challenging things separately. But Cody faced both together, and he still magically swung his bat and seized the opportunity. The pitch was 4.12 feet high and was coming at 95.6 mph.
Thanks to his last-minute home run, the Dodgers were saved from giving the Braves the embarrassing 3-0 lead.
