As the Atlanta Braves clinched their historical World Series victory, fans welcomed their heroes in the grand World Series Championship Parade around the city. While the players enjoyed the crazy love of the fans, Braves Reliever Tyler Matzek faced a bizarre situation.

The Braves clinched their first World Series victory in the 21st century. However, as they were celebrating, a police officer mistook Braves star, Tyler as a crazy fan and nearly arrested him.

Tyler Matzek had to prove his identity to the police officer

Champions Atlanta Braves came home after ending a long-standing losing streak in the MLB. Remarkably, Braves outclassed 2017 Fall Series champions, Houston Astros by 4-2 in the series.

In order to celebrate and thank their fans for their constant support, the Braves organized a grand World Series parade. The parade was conducted in phases, starting from Marietta Street NW and Peachtree Street.

As the players were interacting and celebrating with fans, Tyler Matzek was also in his victory mood. But a police officer thought Matzek was a random fan dressed up as Matzek. The officer roughly pulled Tyler to the side, leaving him stunned. Tyler then had to convince the officer that he was, in fact, Matzek himself and not someone just wearing his jersey.

It looked like Tyler Matzek even had to reveal his ID, and only then did the officer spare him.

Post-parade celebration and concert

Braves winning the World Series title is no less than a festival for Atlanta city. A post-parade celebration and concert were also organized for the Atlanta natives. For the concert, Grammy-Award-winning artists, Ludacris and Big Boi were invited to perform at the Truist Park.
