Tampa Bay Rays started their campaign in the American League division series against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday. Once again, American League Rookie of the Year front runner, Randy Arozarena, stunned everyone with his heroics on the field.

In the first match of the division series, the Rays thrashed the Red Sox, claiming the match by 5-0. Notably, star striker Randy added yet another record to his list, stealing a homer.

The Tampa Bay Rays met Boston Red Sox for the first match of the division series in St. Petersburg, Florida. Rays sealed their game one victory, taking the lead outcome of Arozarena’s record-breaking homers. Remarkably, Randy became the first-ever player in the playoffs’ history to steal home and hit a home run in the same match.

Randy was on fire as he shot 106 mph and 397 feet out to left field in the fifth innings, to give Rays an advantage of 4-0. With this hit, he recorded in the 11th post-season home run. However, he kept his historical performance in reserve for the end.

In the seventh inning, Randy proceeded to the third base on an RBI double. When Red Sox’s Josh Taylor got distracted, Arozarena astonishingly flew to the fourth base, stealing both the show and home.

When it comes to playoffs, Randy always takes his level up a notch. During the 2020 playoffs, he scored 10 homers, and 20 hits in just 20 games, all at just 26. Notably, he is at the second rank for the most home runs in the 20-game playoffs period.

Randy Arozarena is also known as the do-it-all rookie, and he proves it every time he steps on the field. After putting on a historic performance, Randy said, “I noticed the pitcher wasn’t really keeping his attention to me. So I was able to take a big enough lead and be able to take that base. That’s the first time I’ve ever stolen home.”
