The veteran baseball player, and currently Astros manager, Dusty, has a unique style on the field. The 72-YO wears a lot of accessories when he appears for a match, but one thing that has recently caught everyone’s eyes is his gloves.

The secret behind Dusty Baker’s Gloves

Dusty Baker joined the Astros in 2019, with a motive to bring their reputation back, by showcasing a praiseworthy run. Just two years later, the Astros sailed through the division series to reach the Fall Series against Atlanta Braves. Indeed, Baker has done a good job.

But something other than his impressive resume that catches the eyes are the wearables he sports. As a manager, when Baker enters a match, he has been seen wearing sweatbands up & down his arms and also a Fitbit. But in 2021, he has added two new accessories, a mask, and gloves!

Baker has been following the safety protocols quite religiously. In fact, he recently opened up about wearing masks and stated, “I still wear a mask because I had cancer 20 years ago and I had a stroke seven years ago. Some of the fans get on me, ‘Take your mask off.’ You don’t have to wear it, but it’s in my best interest to wear it.” Although he did not open up about wearing gloves, his wife did. According to Baker’s wife, Melissa, it is just another precautionary measure against the virus.

Interestingly, Dusty also has a habit of chewing on a toothpick and twirling it in his mouth. The 72-year-old, who played an impressive 19 MLB seasons in his long career, indeed looks stylish with his accessories and unique style.
